Hi I’m Valentin and I am a Maintenance Apprentice at Mabey Bridge in Chepstow, where we manufacture wind turbine towers. I started working here after first hearing about the company while studying at Crosskeys College.

I studied pathways to an apprenticeship course in college in electrical/electronic engineering and this got me really interested in the subject of renewables. As part of the final grade I undertook a week’s placement at Mabey Bridge. I really enjoyed the week and found my coworkers friendly so I applied for their apprenticeship programme and succeeded in getting a position.

I am developing a career in one of the most exciting of industries, helping to usher in a more energy efficient future for my generation and those generations to follow.
