I’ve recently joined RINA in their global energy consultancy team. My job is to grow the offshore wind consulting business around the world. I’ve been in the offshore wind sector for 12 years. I love finding out about how different countries are using fixed & floating offshore wind to tackle climate change. I also like using the experience that I’ve gained over the years in the UK and elsewhere to travel and speak at conferences – although as lot of that has been in webinars online recently!

I’m particularly keen on acting as the Ethnicity Champion for offshore wind in the UK as part of the Investment in Talent group in OWIC. The offshore wind workforce in the UK needs to grow significantly to meet the ambitions of the sector and the industry wants to make sure that the people working in it are as representative as possible of the general population. I was lucky enough to talk about this subject at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021.

Many large companies now offer graduate schemes for new entrants that will enable them to work on offshore wind projects around the world. You can also reach out to me on LinkedIn if you have any questions.
