Hi, my name is Justin and I'm a Graduate Project Engineer at DeepOcean. DeepOcean operate across various offshore industry sectors and currently have multiple renewables projects being executed as part of this portfolio. As part of my graduate project engineer rotation scheme I am currently seconded to the projects department, where I was given the opportunity to be part of the Bligh Bank OWF project.

My final year dissertation was my first exposure to subsea engineering. From here I was very excited to be part of the offshore industry. The industry offers new kinds of challenges – in particular the renewable industry with tight design and commercial constraints.

The best thing about my job is to be a part of an industry which is relatively new. Each day can potentially offer a chance to be at the forefront of engineering. Even as a graduate I am given responsibilities to manage discrete work packages within projects. With the nature of the job, there are also many opportunities to travel around the world. Ultimately, it is good to know that my efforts are making positive steps towards providing renewable energy to the UK and surrounding countries
