Hi, my name is Julie and I am a Site and Installation Team Leader and Project Manager at Senvion; a wind turbine manufacturer. I have been in this job for just over five years. I always wanted to be part of making a better environmental future for everyone now and generations to come – my current job allows me to do just that.

I initially studied Product Design Engineering which got me into Engineering and Project Management in the sector but I eventually went on to complete an MSc in Energy at university. I was head hunted for the role while studying for my MSc so it certainly helped.

My advice to people interested in renewable energy careers would be to to think about the type of role that you would like to get into when you pick a course at university. If you are unsure at all, then enquire to see if you can shadow a few people in different roles.
