My day-to-day job is very varied as I coordinate for the sales teams across the UK & Ireland throughout the whole sales process until we handover to construction. I have to be detailed and organised as I liaise both with our clients and our internal colleagues. I love working in renewable energy – I have a huge passion for sustainability and clean energy sources and working for Vestas enables me to be part of that every day.

My job provides me with interesting challenges as we work with our customers to provide long-term solutions to an ever changing market, but this is what makes it fun! I love working towards a completed wind farm with our customers – it’s a great feeling seeing the turbines operational and providing clean energy for the future.

I got into the sector by attending one of RenewableUK’s conferences and chatting to the companies in attendance. The staff at Vestas and the ethos really stuck with me that day. If you want to get into the industry, try to attend events and gain an understanding of the companies and its people. Start by building your relationships and ask as many questions as you can. Be persistent and determined – it pays off.
